Sari Village

It is located at a distance of about 65 km from the district headquarters, from where the walking distance of 03 km to Deoriatal. This tourist village is situated on the Ukhimath-Gopeshwar motorway, 04 km apart from Tala. From the district headquarters Rudraprayag at 03:00 pm, the entire bus is also reached by GMO bus. Good telecommunication facility is available in the village including the branch post office. Tourists also enjoy snowfall in winter. In the Anjali Home Stay, the people like to eat Manduve Roti, Red Rice, Kandali Vegetables, Rajma Dal, Jhangora Kheer, Bhanjira Chutney, etc. Tourists also enjoy the beauty of the village.

जिला मुख्यालय से लगभग 65 किमी0 की दूरी व समुद्रतल से 1500 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर स्थित है, जहां से 03 किमी0 की पदैल चढाई तय कर देवरियाताल पहुंचा जाता है। देवरियाताल का आधार शिविर यह पर्यटक गांव ऊखीमठ-गोपेश्वर मोटर मार्ग पर ताला से 04 किमी0 अलग मोटर मार्ग पर स्थित है। जिला मुख्यालय रूद्रप्रयाग से अपराह्न 03 बजे जीएमओ की बस से भी सीधे सारी पहुंचा जाता है। गांव में ब्रांच पोस्ट आफिस के सहित दूर संचार की अच्छी सुविधा उपलब्ध हैं। शीतकाल में यहां पर्यटक बर्फबारी का खूब आनंद भी लेते है। गांव में कई युवाओं द्वारा होटल, लाॅज व होम स्टे संचालित किये जा रहे हैं। गांव में अंजली होम स्टे में पहाडी खाना मंडुवे की रोटी, लाल चावल, कण्डाली की सब्जी, राजमा की दाल, झंगोरा की खीर, भंगजीरा की चटनी आदि का पर्यटक खूब आनंद लेने के साथ-साथ गांव की सुंदरता को भी निहारते हैं

Deoriatal

Deoriatal is a beautiful tourist destination at a height of about 8000 feet above sea level and is a beautiful treasure of nature surrounded by lush green forests. Deoriatal lake is such a majestic lake and an easy trekking destination for beginners. The beauty of this lake around defines how beautiful it is. This beautiful lake is in the mid forest so you can see many birds or animals who come here to quench thirst. In Hindu Mythology, it is believed that Devas used to bath from this lake that is why it is called Deoriatal "The Lake of Devas". Many tourists, bird watchers, photographers come every year to capture the beauty of the lake.

समुद्रतल से लगभग 8 हजार फीट की ऊंचाई पर देवरियाताल एक खूबसूरत पर्यटन स्थल होने के साथ ही हरे भरे जंगलों से घिरा प्रकृति का सुुंदर खजाना है। ऊखीमठ-चोपता रोड से ताला-सारी मोटर मार्ग पर पर्यटक ग्राम सारी से 03 किमी. की चढाई तय कर देवारियाताल पहुंचा जाता है। ताल के जल में केदारनाथ सुमेरू पर्वत और चैखंभा का प्रतिबिम्ब भाव-विभोर कर देता है। ट्रैकर्स आमतौर पर सारी-देवरियाताल व चोपता-देवरियाताल टैªक से यहां पहुंचते हैं। हिन्दू पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार यह माना जाता है देवी और देवता इस राजसी झील में स्नान करते थे,पुराणों के अनुसार इस झील को इंद्रा सरोवर भी कहा जाता है । पुराणों के अनुसार इस झील को इंद्रा सरोवर भी कहा जाता है । पांचों पाण्डव जल की तलाश में भटकते- भटकते देवरियाताल के निकट पहुंचे, युधिष्ठिर ने नकुल को जल लाने के लिए भेजा, तब यक्ष ने नकुल से प्रश्न पूछे नकुल प्रश्न के उत्तर नही दे पाये और बिना उत्तर दिये ही जल ग्रहण करने लगे और मूर्छित हो गए। प्रकृति से है प्यार तो, देवरियाताल आइए ।

Chopta

Chopta is a small region of meadows and covered with an evergreen forest area of Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary and a base for trekking to Tungnath and Chandrashila Peak. Chopta is a very beautiful place, it is compared to Switzerland, the most beautiful place in the world, so it is called the "Switzerland of India". The exclusive activities to be done in Chopta include camping, viewing Bugyal (area on the top of a hill or mountain), and enjoying scenic views. You can enjoy the clear view of the sky and snow-covered Himalaya from Chopta. In the winter season, you can enjoy snowfall here.

यह बुग्याल जिला मुख्यालय रूद्रप्रयाग से ऊखीमठ-गोपेश्वर मोटर मार्ग पर 76 किमी0 पर स्थित हैं समुद्रतल से 2900 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर पर स्थित अति मनोरम बुग्याल है, यहां कोई भी पर्यटक आसानी से पहुंच सकता है। चोपता से हिमालय की चोटियों के नजदीक से दर्शन किए जा सकते हैं। यह स्थल प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्य से परिपूर्ण है। चोपता से 03 किमी0 पैदल मार्ग से होते हुऐ तृतीय केदार श्री तंुगनाथ मन्दिर तक भी पहुंचा जा सकता है तथा श्री तुंगनाथ धाम से लगभग 1.5 किमी0 की दूरी पर प्रसिद्ध चन्द्रशिला टैªक भी जाया जाता है। यहाॅ बुग्याल में विभिन्न प्रजातियों के पुष्प एवं वनस्पितियां पाई जाती है, स्थानीय मान्यता के अनुसार इस क्षेत्र को मिनी स्वीट्जरलैण्ड के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। इस क्षेत्र में पाये जाने वाला राज्य पक्षी मोनाल के नाम से विगत वर्ष मोनाल स्नो एडवेंचर कार्निवाल का भी आयोजन किया गया।

तृतीय केदार श्री तुंगनाथ से लगभग 1.5 किमी0 की दूरी पर स्थित समुद्र तट से लगभग 4090 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर चन्द्रशिला चोटी स्थित है। यहां केवल पैदल ही जाया जा सकता है। चन्द्रशिला से हिमालय इतना करीब दिखता है कि मानो उसे छू ही लेंगे। यह जगह काफी ऊंचाई पर स्थित है, जिस वजह से यहां से अद्भुत दृश्य, घास के मैदान, चैखम्बा, त्रिशूल, केदार, बंदरपूंछ की चोटिया तथा पास की झील आदि दिखाई देते है। चन्द्रशिला ट्रैक पर्यटको के बीच सबसे लोकप्रिय टैªकिंग मार्गो में से एक है।

Tugnath Trek

पंच केदारों में तृतीय केदार तुंगनाथ समुद्र तल से 12070 फीट की ऊॅचाई पर स्थित है। श्री तंुगनाथ मन्दिर जाने हेतु ऊखीमठ-गोपेश्वर मोटर मार्ग पर चोपता नामक स्थल से 03 किमी0 का टैªक मार्ग से यहाॅ पहुॅचा जा सकता है। भगवान तुंगनाथ मन्दिर में भगवान षिव की भुजाओं की पूजा अर्चना की जाती है। इस स्थान से नन्दादेवी, पंचाचुली, गन्दमादन, दुर्णाचंल, केदारनाथ, बद्रीनाथ, गंगोत्री आदि प्रमुख हिमाच्छादित हिम श्रृखंलाओं का अवलोकन किया जा सकता है। मन्दिर के निकट ही रावण शिला भी स्थित है, जिसके विषय में यह मान्यता है कि लंकापति रावण ने इस शिला पर भगवान शिव की तपस्या की थी। श्री भगवान तुंगनाथ जी के द्वार शीतकाल में कार्तिक मास की एकादशी को कपाट बन्द कर दिये जाते हैं एवं तद्दोपरान्त भगवान तुंगनाथ की डोली ग्राम मक्कू में स्थित मन्दिर में शीतकाल में पूजा अर्चना हेतु श्रृद्धालुओं के लिए दर्षनार्थ बिराजमान रहते हैं।

Omkareshwar Temple

Omkareshwar Temple is in the Ukhimath of Rudraprayag District. This temple is so old and recognized temple of Lord Shiva. The idols of Kedarnath and the Madhya Maheswar temple are worshiped here at the time of winters and worshiped over for 06 months. And later on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, again the idols are taken from here to Kedarnath and Madhya Maheshwar. The history behind this temple is that here, a king gave up his fascination and meditated on Lord Shiva for 12 years, And then Lord Shiva appeared as Omkar, hence the name of this temple is Omkareshwar Temple.

रूद्र्रप्रयाग से 42 किमी0 दूरी पर समुद्र तल से 1311 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर ऊखीमठ नामक स्थान पर आंेकारेश्वर शिव का प्रसिद्ध मंदिर है। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि बाणासुर की पुत्री उषा का विवाह इसी स्थान पर हुआ था। शीतकाल में भगवान केदारनाथ तथा द्वितीय केदारनाथ मध्यमहेश्वर यहीं विराजमान होकर भक्तों को दर्शन देेते हैं।

Makku Math

Makku math is a small village and known for the Tapsthali of Markandeya Rishi, located at a distance of about 50 km from Rudraprayag, during the winters due to heavy snowfall, the idol of the third Kedar Lord Shri Tungnath shift from its original place Tungnath to here. People here are very friendly, you can explore the village, lifestyle of village people, try out some local food local Dhaba. Makku math is very well known for photography and called a happy place for Photographers. Travel is incomplete without photography here you can capture beautiful views, rare bird species, and beautiful forest.

मक्कू मठ एक छोटा सा गाँव है और मार्कंडेय ऋषि की तपस्थली के लिए जाना जाता है, जो रुद्रप्रयाग से लगभग 50 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है, भारी बर्फबारी के कारण सर्दियों के दौरान तीसरे केदार भगवान श्री तुंगनाथ की मूर्ति अपने मूल स्थान तुंगनाथ से यहाँ आ जाती है। यहां के लोग बहुत मिलनसार हैं, आप गांव घूम सकते हैं, गांव के लोगों की जीवनशैली, कुछ स्थानीय भोजन स्थानीय ढाबा आजमा सकते हैं। मक्कू मठ फोटोग्राफी के लिए बहुत अच्छी तरह से जाना जाता है और फोटोग्राफर्स के लिए एक खुशहाल जगह कहा जाता है। यात्रा फोटोग्राफी के बिना अधूरी है यहां आप सुंदर दृश्य, दुर्लभ पक्षी प्रजातियां और सुंदर जंगल देख सकते हैं।
